Exhibition Curatorial and Concept



Fourth Door initiated a set of interlinked event proposals around the 2012 anniversaries of the Downland and Flimwell gridshells, highlighting the links to land art and woven basketry. These included an 'art-gridshell at the Brighton Fabrica art gallery. This was developed by Fabrica becoming the summer  2012 Cluster exhibition

In 2011/10 Fourth Door produced Exchange is not Robbery exhibition highlighting humanitarian architectural projects around the world at WOMAD and FeildenCleggBradley Architects, London.

In 2010 Fourth Door showcased its Riding on Empty: Cycle Stations exhibition as part of the 2010 London Festival of Architecture, featuring the work of DRMM Architects, Exploration, the Architectural Ensemble and Loop PH.

In 2008, Oliver Lowenstein was co-curator of the Scottish Architecture 2006-8 Building Biographies exhibition at The Lighthouse, Glasgow, Scotland, which ran from October to January 2008/9. The exhibition developed ways of understanding regional architecture, relationally, to sustainability, vernacular building and the spirit of place. Lowenstein was also editor and essayists to the exhibition catalogue, which is available here
